For the 3rd time, RVNHUS in Klostergade 12 has the pleasure of inviting you to the Liquid Modernity Art Jewelry Group exhibition with 10+ Unique international and award-winning artists and designers from around the world, exhibition can be experienced until 17th of December 2022.
Internationally, there is a great focus on Art Jewellery. This is truly an artistic expression that has large interest in recent years, and in Denmark, we are lucky enough to have quite a few talented jewelry artists who have also left their mark in galleries and museums abroad.
RVNHUS perceives Art Jewelry as an expression that takes high craftsmanship, deep creative expression, and connection with your inner self and the world around you. They are one of a kind and irreplaceable. Created by skilled jeweler hands in their private studios and not mass-produced. Jewelers that want to speak for themselves.
For this year’s exhibition, we chose the term Liquid modernity, since we are generally inspired by the world, and philosopher Zygmunt Bauman offers a very interesting take on the present condition of the world in his book ‘Liquid Modernity’ that we thought would be interesting to explore in this years exhibition, to make sort of a lighter statement about the world. RVNHUS wanted to showcase Art Jewelry that explores and relates to the current issues of our time in a rapidly changing world of human identity and relationships.
And the 19 jewelry artists that RVNHUS has selected - all interpret their jewelry in their own ways in relation to this fluid, indefinable, and rapidly changing time in which we live.
We want to explore the future of jewelry and use it as a more literal expression of fluidity in the artworks selected - representing an infinity of solutions and opportunities while using the same tools of expression.
The jewelry choice is taken quite literally from the name ‘liquid’ - flowy, liquidy, silver shapes and forms, natural materials, and interesting and challenging stories behind it.
RVNHUS wishes to bring to existence an exhibition space that not only shows high-quality art but creates an exhibition where visitors get to know the story of the art they see.
We have the ambition that an exhibition must be built so that it engages and inspires the visitors. We are delighted that it has been possible to bring such interesting artists together for an exhibition in Kolding and hope that many from all over the country will welcome this fantastic experience.
